ECCFPD Average Response Time for July is 8:21 Minutes

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District reported last week that its July response time hit an average of 8:21 minutes after responding to 583service calls. In the month of June, the average response time was 8:27 minutes after responding to 621 calls.

In the month of July, the District responded to 7 structure fires, 20 vegetation fire, 34 vehicle accidents and 6 vehicle accidents with rescue.  Due to call volume during the month the District had zero engines available for responses 8 times, which totaled 11:38 hours

In the calendar year of 2015, the District ran 6918 calls for service with an average response time of 7:54 compared to calendar year of 2014, where the District ran 6550 calls for service with an average response time of 7:21.

According to the District, in the month of June, Engine Company Rollouts

  • Engine 52 (Brentwood) ran 31% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 245 times.
  • Engine 93 (Oakley) ran 28% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 226 times.
  • Engine 94 (Knightsen) ran 20% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 157 times.
  • Engine 59 (Discovery Bay) ran 15% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 119 times.
  • CALFIRE assisted in 3% of the calls for 20 rollouts.
  • Auto Aid assisted in 3% of the calls for 21 rollouts
  • Mutual Aid received assisted in 1% of the calls for 7 rollouts.
