East Contra Costa Fire Average Response Time in May at 8:30 Minutes

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District reported at their monthly meeting that in the month of May, they had 606 service calls with an average response time of 8:30 minutes.

In the month of April, the District ran 535 calls with a response time of 8:31 minutes. In calendar year 2019, the District has an average response time of 8:19 minutes for 7,679 calls and in 2018 had a time of 8:16 minutes for 7,719.

During the month of May, the District responded to 6 residential structure fires, 0 commercial structure fire, 3 vehicle fires, 0 large vehicle fires, 4 vegetation fire and 13 exterior fires. The District also responded to 18 vehicle crashes with an additional 3 requiring rescue. They also had  4 motorcycle crashes, and 3 bicycle accident and 1 airplane crash.

According to the District, here is a breakdown of the Calls for Service by Station in the month of January:

  • Engine 52 (Brentwood) ran 41% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 288 times
  • Engine 53 (Oakley) ran 33% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 235 times.
  • Engine 59 (Discovery Bay) ran 19% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 132 times.
  • Auto Aid assisted in 5% of the calls for 33 rollouts.
  • CALFIRE assisted in 3% of the calls for 19rollouts.
  • Mutual Aid received assisted in 0% of the calls for 1 rollout.

Average Response Time by Service Area:

  • Bethel Island – 14:18 Minutes (27 calls)
  • Marsh Creek – 10:32 Minutes (19 calls)
  • Discovery Bay/Byron – 9:28 Minutes (82 calls)
  • Knightsen – 8:49 Minutes (23 calls)
  • Brentwood – 7:44 minutes (306 calls)
  • Oakley – 6:59 Minutes (149 calls)

In the month of May, the District received auto aid from Contra Costa Fire 33 times with them sending a total of 44 engines with 19 arriving on scene. Meanwhile the District sent CONFIRE auto aid 46 times for 60 engines which 23 arrived on scene.

Your whole place could burn to-the-ground by the time they get to it. With the assholes setting off fireworks every night now, how many houses will catch fire? The homeless are sure helpful, too. They have nothing to lose, so why not burn it all down?
