Pleasant Hill, CA – Diablo Valley College head women’s basketball coach, Ramaundo Vaughn, has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the completion of a district investigation into a personnel matter.
The college is unable to comment further while the investigation is ongoing, but is releasing this statement because we recognize that this is a successful high profile program entering the State Championships.
Longtime assistant coaches, Kameo Williams and Matt Johnson, will take over for the remainder of the season. The California Community College Athletic Association and the Big 8 Conference have been notified of the coaching change.
The Diablo Valley College women’s basketball team finished 2nd in the Big 8 Conference and are currently ranked #3 in the State. The college is very proud of the accomplishments of these student athletes.
