Dublin: Firefighters Battling 248 Acre Vegetation Fire, 90% Containment

At 1:30 pm Friday, Alameda County Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the Dublin Hills in the 3800 block of Camino Diablo Lp in the City of Dublin.

The fire at the time was approximately 5-10 acres by 2:00 pm. However, by 2:15 pm, the fire had grown to 50-acres.

By 2:08 pm, Alameda County issued an alert advising residents in the East Dublin Hills to be prepared to evacuate and if they saw smoke or feel in danger to evacuate. Evacuation routes are south on Collier Canyon or East on Highland.

Alameda County Fire also reported by 2:30 pm, resources included 3 dozers, 19 engines and 4 air tankers

By 2:45 pm, the fire was estimated at 150-acres and 50% contained.

Update:
Forward progress has been stopped. The fire is approximately 248 acres and 90% contained

So with all the fires between Oakley, Knightsen, Brentwood and now Dublin…. is there a suspected arsonist?? The one in Oakley was too close to my home Wednesday. This is scary
