Just after 5:00 am Friday, nearly 2,902 homes lost power after a non-injury vehicle crash in the 2800 block of Camino Diablo in Byron.
According to Engine 59, there was a vehicle crash on Camino Diablo which struck a pole which hit guide wires. There was also three transformers in the area that could be causing the outage, but requested PG&E for further investigation.
The outage is impacting homes in Discovery Bay, Brentwood, and Byron.
No further details were made available.
