by ECT

The Suisun City Police Department announced Friday they received information alleging a nine year old had been sexually abused in Suisun City.

Due to the age of the victim, their School Resource Officer (SRO) conducted the investigation. The investigation included a child forensic interview, which was conducted in cooperation with the Solano County Family Justice Center and the Solano County District Attorney’s Office. In the interview the victim verified the information initially reported.

As a result of the initial investigation, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the suspect, John Logsdon, 53, a resident of unincorporated Contra Costa County.

On December 8, 2016, Suisun City Police personnel located Logsdon near his residence and took him into custody without incident.

Logsdon was later booked into Solano County Jail on the felony arrest warrant for the following felony charges: Attempted Sexual Intercourse or Sodomy with a Child 10 Years of Age or Younger (664/288.7(a) PC), Oral Copulation Or Sexual Penetration With a Child 10 Years of Age or Younger (288.7(b) PC), Lewd or Lascivious Act With a Child Under 14 (288(a) PC).

Logsdon’s bail was set at $1.5 million.

The bail is high where it belongs and he deserves life in prison.
