Walnut Creek, CA – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that he will host an emergency virtual town hall to discuss the United States Postal Service and voting in Contra Costa County on Monday, August 24th at 3:00 p.m. PT. The event will be held live on Congressman DeSaulnier’s Facebook page (facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier).
Congressman DeSaulnier will be joined by Harold Kelso, California State President of the National Association of Letter Carriers as well as Deborah Cooper, Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, and Scott Konopasek, Assistant Registrar for Contra Costa. The town hall will feature a brief presentation and panel discussion as well as a question and answer period addressing the recent changes made at USPS that are affecting mail delivery and mail-in ballots.

Mr. Desucky in NYC there is still congressional primaries yet to be decided after more than 6 weeks due to mail in ballots. There was only 400,000 ballots and results are still pending. So how do you guarantee that this will be a fair election when millions of votes are to be counted?
That’s exactly the point. How awesome of the President to make the demo-rats scurry back after they jumped ship to avoid giving is (THEIR BOSSES) the stimulus 2 vote. Yet when their scam vote scheme was put in danger they did a speedy Gonzales donut burn-out back to D.C.

Contrary to the current narrative, USPS is not the major problem presented by mail balloting – and neither is Fernando’s conspiracy nonsense. The major problem is that many states (which really means individual counties) are ill-prepared to handle a greatly increased volume of absentee ballots.
1) the term “conspiracy theory” was a tactic designed by the CIA to shut up anybody not swallowing or who was challenging the Warren report on the Kennedy assassination. Meant to low brow someone into silence when the narrative gets uncomfortably too hot to counter.

Robert, I do feel that there are MAJOR issues with the USPS. I am more concerned about people and veterans getting their medications. Please keep in mind, it’s much more than just medication that we rely on the USPS. There is a small amount of people ware unbanked that relies on the postal office to pay bills, rent, etc.
Regarding voting, I always drop off my ballot at the polling box…bypassing the USPS issue. That is a simple solution for those who has concerns about their ballet getting counted due to the USPS situation. (Next comment NOT directed at Robert or has anything to do with agreeing or disagreeing with any theories, just my general thought) Regardless if it is a theory or not, it is factually true that “in general” mail is getting back logged, that that fact alone is simply not ok at ANYTIME regardless if it is during an election time or not.

Rob, I agree that USPS has fundamental issues – some of it’s own making and some the fault of Congress. My comment was that potential problems with mail-order voting are less a matter of USPS delays than they are the ability of the various counties to handle ballot tabulation.

The blanket mail in ballot is a scam because it is different from absentee ballot. In absentee ballet you must prove who you are. You also must be entitled to vote. With blanket mail in there are no checks and balances. A dead dog could vote, a person not earning the right to vote could vote as many times, and the deceased could vote. That is a scam to the tax paying us citizen. This blanket ballot by us mail is a joke and our taxes should not fund a scam like this. Everyone who votes needs to be verified that they are eligible and prove it. In this country everyone must provide ID to do anything of importance. It should be more so I’m picking our leaders.
