Congressman DeSaulnier to Host 3 Town Halls on GOP Tax Plan

by ECT
Rep Mark DeSaulnier

Washington, DC – On Friday, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that over the next week he will host three town halls on the Republican tax plan.

The town halls will be hosted across a variety of mediums in order to accommodate the busy schedules of his constituents. Since coming to Congress in January 2015, Mark has hosted 50 town halls and mobile district office hours throughout Contra Costa County.

“I invite Contra Costa residents to join me for one of my upcoming town halls on the Republican tax plan. The proposed legislation eliminates the state and local tax deduction and reduces the mortgage interest deduction, which is particularly bad for Bay Area residents. The House is expected to vote on the plan before Thanksgiving, and I hope you will join me to discuss ways it will impact you and your family,” said Congressman DeSaulnier.

Well if DeSaulnier is opposing it, then I am on board for getting the Republican tax plan pushed through.

Desaulnier is career politician that is more interested in his party and entitlements than reform on taxes.

This guy has never represented (or even acknowledged) my interests or done anything except “parrot” the party line fed to him by his Democrat “bosses”. The days of town hall meetings attempting to hear the collective message of constituents are long gone. They are now simply a lecture on what we should be thinking and a fund raising venue for those that like the same flavor of Kool Aid.
