At 3:30 pm Saturday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the area of Highway 4 and Evora Road in Concord on the Bay Point border.
Upon arrival, firefighters located the fire above Chevron near Willow Pass Road and Evora and within a few hours was contained to 40-acres.
Contra Costa Fire was assisted by CalFire along with Marin County fire.
No injuries were reported, no structures were burned, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
