On November 1, 2021, at approximately 1:45 AM, Concord PD Officers were dispatched to a solo vehicle (into a light pole) collision that occurred on N/B Port Chicago Highway, near High School Avenue in the City of Concord.
The front passenger, 51 year old female, was pronounced deceased.
The driver, 37 year old male, was transported to a nearby hospital for major injuries. N/B Port Chicago Highway, between High School Avenue and N Sixth Street, was closed for approximately 3 hours. The collision is still under investigation.
