RE:  Case Update – De La Salle Sexual Assault Investigation

 December 2, 2016

Concord, CA – We have been told by the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office that charges in this case will not be filed at this time, although the investigation is ongoing. It is not uncommon for the District Attorney’s Office to request additional information, or to provide guidance on other investigative steps that would lead to the most comprehensive case for criminal filing and prosecution.  In order to protect the integrity of the investigation, we will not disclose what our follow up investigation will consist of.  We will continue to maintain contact with the victim and her family.  We are committed to taking any and all additional steps as requested by the District Attorney’s Office.  These complex investigations are an absolute priority for our department, and we will continue to dedicate ourselves to the protection of the community and our youth.
