Concord, CA – On Wednesday March 9th, 2016 at 3:54 PM, an Officer of the Concord Police Department spoke with an adult female victim in regards to an alleged sexual battery that occurred at Optimized Chiropractic (5161 Clayton Road Suite: E, Concord).
The investigation revealed that during a scheduled appointment with Dr. Steven Moon, he recommended massage therapy for the victim and performed the massage himself.
During the treatment, Dr. Moon inappropriately touched the patient with his hands. The victim later reported the incident to the Concord Police Department.
This case was investigated by the Concord Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) and presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review. After reviewing the case, the District Attorney filed one felony count of sexual battery against Dr. Steven Moon and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Friday April 15th, 2016 at 4:00 PM, Dr. Moon was placed under arrest by the Concord Police Department. Dr. Moon was transported to the Concord Jail, where he was booked and later released when he was able to post bail.
This case is currently under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
