Concord: 26-Year-old Female Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle on Treat Blvd

On March 19, 2017, at approximately 10:46 PM, Concord Police officers were dispatched to
the report of a person lying in the roadway of Treat Blvd. near Wilmore Dr.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the pedestrian was crossing Treat Blvd. between Wilmore Dr. and San Simeon Dr. when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on
Treat Blvd. The pedestrian, a 26 year old resident of Placerville, sustained major injuries and
was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers from the Concord Police Traffic Unit were called out to the collision and coordinated the investigation. Treat Blvd. was closed for approximately five hours.

Initially, the driver, who is a 58 year old Concord resident, left the scene but she later
contacted Concord Police and is cooperating with the investigation. The vehicle involved has
been identified as a 2015 Honda.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of her next of kin.
