CHP unable to impact or control speed/muffler noisemakers on 4 Bypass 24/7 from Balfour to Lone Tree & beyond SO how will they catch shooters? Good luck!

This is why more and more responsible gun owners are opting to carry in their center consoles. One can’t rely on the CHP to be everywhere.

So that in this case..you would what? Chase them shooting back, endangering the public even further?? Or would your spider senses tell you to shoot first?

Perhaps if there were more information the public could assist. This “unknown suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle” is not very helpful. Are there any witnesses or video recordings to gather a description of the vehicle?

There doesn’t seem to be nearly enough CHP presence, ever, on HWY 4. Without fail, whenever I travel the highway through Pittsburg, which is seldom these days, there are multiple high speed racers. This isn’t a secret to anyone, so where is the law enforcement?

What happened to all those SECURITY CAMERAS which were supposed to be secured in that area after the initial two shootings some years ago? What happened to those? A camera would capture someone peeling off. It seems that the CHP is useless. They KNOW which are the troubling areas on SR-4 in the Pittsburg/Antioch/BayPoint area.

So? The shooting occurred on the westbound on-ramp at Railroad? That on-ramp is a pain! People driving westbound on California to catch the green light before it turns red. Then there are those who want to get on it from Railroad from both directions. The light has an arrow. This intersection is poorly designed and much too busy. I can just imagine some jerk wanting to make that light and regards another driver as an obstruction and gets pissed off. I avoid it if I can.

CHP cannot handle people speeding on Highway 4. What makes you think they can handle road rage and shootings? ??
