On Thursday at about 3:36 pm, Contra Costa County Deputy Sheriffs were at a residence on the 5300 hundred block of Byron Hot Springs Road in Byron to carry out an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Daniel Parson, who had multiple out-of-county warrants, to include charges of robbery and weapons possession.
According to Jimmy Lee, spokesperson for the Sheriffs office, Parson left the property in a vehicle, damaging the tires after driving over railroad tracks. He continued southbound on Byron Highway, leading Deputies on a pursuit.
“About 1.6 miles later, Parson loss control of the vehicle, which spun out. Parson then fled on foot into a slough, where he was taken into custody,’ said Lee.
Parsons was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on 9 various charges which included driving with a suspended license, felony possession of a firearm, failure to appear on felony charges, possession of marijuana for sale, second degree robbery, no vehicle registration on a trailer.
He is being held without bail.
