Bus Bridge Between Pittsburg/Bay Point and North Concord Continues For Morning Commute

by ECT

BART announced a bus bridge will continue for riders traveling between Pittsburg/Bay Point and North Concord Station during Thursday morning service hours on March 17.

BART around 10:14 am on Wednesday and by 3:15 stated the problem would continue into the night as crews worked to resolve the issue.

BART said late Wednesday there will likely be no train service between these two stations as crews work to troubleshoot an equipment problem impacting train service in that area. Riders should listen to station staff and PA announcements for the latest information when arriving to the stations.  Announcements will be made if train service is an option between Pittsburg/Bay Point and North Concord.  If traveling between these two stations, riders are encouraged to allow for extra travel time.

Riders will be able to board a BART train at the North Concord Station if traveling towards Oakland and San Francisco.

BART apologize for this inconvenience and we are working around the clock to identify the problem and fix it.  We would like to thank our riders for their patience and our transit partners for providing the bus bridge.

BART Service Advisories will continue to detail the latest service information.

This is very troubling. BART having trouble with the train cars and new ones on order. I wonder how many people know that the new cars could have been built at one of the empty factories in Pittsburg. Instead BART avoided local hire jobs and went out of state with our tax money to buy the new cars. BART should never get another tax increase making those poor decisions. Local jobs, local taxes, less unemployment, lower crime. Poor leadership !

Poor leadership and stupid decisions are BART mainstays from Day 1.

Nothing about BART is railroad standard and they’ve mismanaged it into the ground on top of that.

Add in unions that only care about enriching themselves and we get a recipe for disaster.
