On Wednesday, crews were digging in the 2300 block of Buchanan Road near Delta Fair Blvd. in the Orchard Square Shopping Center when a water main was hit sending a large amount of water into the parking lot.

The response required a response from Contra Costa County Fire, Antioch Police, PG&E and public works who provided sandbags. During this call, Contra Costa County fire left the scene due to a fire in Pittsburg and Engine 93 from Oakley became the second engine on scene to assist.
Fire crews were eventually able to clear a drain to allow water to flow out of the parking lot, however, several businesses and vehicle owners reported having water damage from the high level of water
The call came in around 2:45 pm and water was shut down around 3:12 pm.
