Brownstone Gardens Donates Facility Usage For Senior Outing

by ECT

On Tuesday July 16, Brownstone Gardens treated a group of seniors from Cortona Park in Brentwood to an afternoon in the gardens and tour of the facility.

Located in Oakley, Brownstone Gardens donated the few hours of time to make the outing possible as a way to give back to the community. This allowed the group of seniors an opportunity to get outside and spend the afternoon in pure serenity which the gardens offer with its coy pond, multiple fountains, and beautiful landscapes.

A few of the seniors joked that they needed to get re-married so that they can come back and enjoy the location.

“They called to see if they could do a picnic and we thought it sounded awesome. It’s a pleasure to have them here,” said Kay-Kay Hines, sales and marketing manager. “We are always looking for opportunities to give back to the community. The best times are during the week Monday through Friday when we don’t have something scheduled. Always open to hearing ideas and ways to give back to the community.”

She also added that they do offer military and senior discounts on events.

Although most folks book the venue for weddings, Kay-Kay Hines says they are available during the week to book luncheons and  mid-week events for company’s or organizations.

The best kept secret in East County. A world class facility one would never expect. Maybe when I get a little bit older I can join a senior living facility so I can get a tour

Hand-slap has been replaced with PRAISE! Nice reporting here Mike. I encourage this type of journalism! Not that I’m all about “good news” … but I’m ALL about building up a community and nothing about name-calling! I think Brownstone did a great job here. Thanx for highlighting them. Brownstone is just around the corner from me, so I hear their events and weddings all the time. Celebrations are just around the corner! Glad they’re celebrating our seniors too. Smilz, Charleen
