Just after 7:00 am Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Balfour Road between American Avenue and Deer Valley Road in Brentwood.
It was reported that two vehicles were involved in which both were off the roadway and one vehicle rolled over into a field and caught fire with a party trapped.
Firefighters reported minor injuries in the crash and one vehicle on fire. A medical helicopter was originally requested, however, it was later cancelled.
Law enforcement is investigating the incident with AMR, Brentwood Police also responding to the incident which forced both directions of Balfour Road to be closed.
No other information was available.

If measure L would have passed that part of Balfour Road would have been widened to 4 lanes … making the attempt to pass not needed …
It is a poor driver that blames the roadway. If car is at fault, check nut behind the steering wheel.
