The Brentwood Police Department reported that they had traveled to the State of Texas to arrest Kevin Brown of San Pablo for crimes he committed in the city of Brentwood.

According to Brentwood Lt. Walter O’Grodnick, the crime occurred on April 9 at a home within the city. Crimes include being a felon in possession of a firearm, felony assault, and residential burglary. No other information on the incident was released.

On Monday, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Brown and he now remains in custody.

This is not the first time Detectives have traveled outside of our jurisdiction to arrest a suspect. Over the past couple of years, they have traveled all over California; as well as Oklahoma, Utah, Kansas, and Georgia.

In August of 2020, Brentwood police announced they traveled to Kansas to arrest  Gonzalo Regalado-Mandujano Jr. who was wanted in connection for crimes against a child. Brentwood Police had been working the case since September 2019.

Police said they made the announcement of the arrest to inform the community and criminals they would be willing to travel anywhere outside their jurisdiction to make an arrest.
