On January 25, 2017 at approximately 3:40 p.m., Brentwood officers responded to the area of Sand Creek Road and O’Hara Ave. on a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a male, Brentwood transient in his 20s had in fact suffered a single, non-life threatening stab wound. The victim was immediately transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he’s expected to make a full recovery.

Further investigation revealed the incident took place on the creek bed situated beneath Sand Creek Road and O’Hara Ave. A male suspect has been identified and is known to the victim. The victim was stabbed following a verbal confrontation between the two. This was not a random act of violence.

The suspect’s name is being withheld to avoid compromising ongoing investigative leads. Although the suspect remains at large, there is nothing to suggest any danger to the general public.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call Detective Eric Huesman at 925-809-7735. Callers can remain anonymous.
