Brentwood Police Identify Suspects in Streets of Brentwood Robberies

The Brentwood Police Department today announced that they have identified suspects in two April 18 robberies at the Streets of Brentwood.

Follow up investigation led to the recovery of property and evidence that implicated the suspects in two of the three robberies. There are still suspects involved that are outstanding and have not been contacted.

According to Lt. Silva, the suspects were juveniles and were not sent to Juvenile Hall.

According to police, on April 23, Brentwood police detectives were able to identify two of the suspects involved in the two Brentwood robberies and the one Antioch robbery. Follow up investigation led to the recovery of property and evidence that implicated the suspects in two of the three robberies.

On April 18 at about 9:17pm, Brentwood Police Officers were dispatched to the AMC Brentwood -14 Theater in the Streets of Brentwood Shopping Center on Sand Creek Road to investigate a robbery. Four male juveniles were approached by two males (suspected to be young adults – late teens/early twenties). One of the suspects was reported to have shown the handle of a handgun he had concealed in his sweatshirt pocket as they ordered the victims to hand over their belts, cell phones and cash. The victims complied and the suspects fled north on foot. No injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. The incident was captured on the shopping centers video surveillance system.

At about 9:30 pm, a male and female juvenile were visiting with each other along the walking trail north of the Streets of Brentwood Shopping Center (near Old Sand Creek Road) when they were approached by two male suspects matching the suspect description from the earlier robbery. One of the suspects claimed he had a gun but no gun was displayed or seen. The second suspect took the victims cell phones and both suspects fled east on foot. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

At about 10:00 pm, there was a robbery in the city of Antioch with similar suspect descriptions and similar circumstances, however it hadn’t been confirmed whether or not the same suspects were responsible for all three robberies.
