Brentwood: Female Airlifted to Local Hospital After Being Struck by Vehicle

At 5:28 pm Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and Brentwood Police responded to a report of a vehicle who was struck by a vehicle at Foothill Drive near St. Andrews in the City of Brentwood.

Upon arrival, Brentwood Police arrived on scene and reported the female had sustained a head injury, which resulted in a request for a medical helicopter. Upon arrival of firefighters, the female was still down in the roadway.

By 6:00 pm. the helicopter had landed and transported the female to a local hospital.

According to police, the pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk and was alert and conscious. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Sounds like the result of one of Brentwood’s stupid drivers who think they are entitled to drive like idiots. Unfortunately they are all over the roads and act like complete jerks.

Really Nancy? How do you know it wasn’t an entitled pedestrian who thinks cars have to stop for him even when they have the right of way? There are no crosswalks in that area!

eh, there are crosswalks at all the intersections there. Take a look at Google maps to see for yourself.

Perhaps some comprehensive reading skills would be a benefit.
