Brentwood: Edna Hill Drama Students Raise $6,000 for Relay for Life

On Saturday, Bart Schneider and Edna Hill Drama students raised more than $6,000 for Relay for Life.

The combined casts of the Lion King put on two “Purple Performances”, sold snacks and auctioned show memorabilia to support the American Cancer Society. Members of the audience who had fought cancer or are currently fighting cancer were honored in a carnation ceremony.

Superintendent Dana Eaton said “We are very proud of the staff, students and parents who put on an amazing show and raised money for such an important cause.  It was inspiring to see all of the individuals that had been impacted by cancer honored during the carnation ceremony.  Bart Schneider and his students are to be commended.”
