I am getting really sick and tired of these shootings in Antioch. Where is the mayor and our city council? It seems like every day Antioch is in the news.

If this shooting makes you sick then just wait until summer. You will need a daily dose of medication ?

Seems like crim has increased by scrambling the police scanner channel. The tax paying citizens can’t tune in and be of any assistance with there eyes and ears. Lame! What are you trying to hide APD?

Awesome Antioch! May 16, 2016 - 8:38 am

It very interesting that you never hear from the mayor about plans to help fight crime..
Does this guy even exist?

Progressives in Antioch thought they were following in the footsteps of Obama by electing our first black Mayor, Wade Harper. Tell me, how is working out for you? ? And before someone cries racism, I’m black.

Hopefully this will teach everyone to vote based on experience and a proven ability to lead.

Just because you are black, doesn’t mean you aren’t a racist. Idiot

This has become a damn shame..!! The mayor has too long been silent as crime continues to escalate ..! The City Council, too, has been silent..You would think that, with television news coverage given Antioch behind some of the crimes being reported, the Mayor would use those opportunities to voice his concern, to give some vocal support to the citizenry and a promise to the criminals that he/the city/the police/the populace will not allow crime to go unpunished..! What blown opportunities to show leadership, direction and assuage people’s fears, disgust and anxiety..! The Mayor and city council have been a waste of time and votes..!

People are finally waking up to the BS Mayor and City Council’s incompetence. Lori is great but she can’t fight all her idiot peers at once.

Where are the respectable, educated, and honorable people who can run a city? Except for Lori, all we have up on that stage are bunch of clowns using smoke and mirrors to fool the residents of Antioch.

Wilson – spineless parrot who can’t fight her way out of a paper bag

Rocha – needs to retire.. Way too connected by nepotism to the laughable joke of a school district AUSD. What the heck has she done that has significantly raised the quality of life for NON-section 8 residents?

Tiscareno: can be described as less than a clown. He is like a pair of clown shoes -inefficient, redundant, and flat out impractical. He was never voted in by majority.

Harper: last but not least. King flim-flam himself. Flashes is retired badge anytime he can and uses his so called education from a college that churns out degrees like nothing as long as you have the money. I know people that have received 3 degrees in less than 2 years from that college. He is the worse mayor and political candidate ever. Don’t believe me? Just read the latest articles. Antioch crime has gotten worse.

Here’s what I don’t understand, why aren’t you folks filling the council chambers and protesting the failure of this council to do the will of the people? When I lived in Antioch and ran a highly organized community activist group we had both Federal Glover and the council shaking in their collective boots and made them get off their butts and do something about the crime in Antioch.

If you want Antioch to improve you need to be willing to organize and make it happen yourselves.
