At 4:04 pm Saturday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle versus a fence in the 11000 block of Byron Highway in unincorporated Brentwood.
Upon arrival, Engine 59 reported the vehicle was off the roadway with one person still inside. By 4:14 pm, Engine 59 reported that the driver had “major injuries” and they were starting extrication.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
