A short while later, Brentwood Police located a male walking down Fairview Avenue near San Jose Ave as a family member was about the pick the male up who they believed to be the suspect.

Upon making contact, the male demonstrated being under the influence and the smell of alcohol was prevalent. Police also brought a witness to the scene who positively identified the man as the driver of the truck who fled the scene.

The male was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and a misdemeanor hit and run.

No other information was available as police were still investigating.

  1. He could have wrecked the truck and hit his head. After, he his head he grabbed some drinks to calm his nerves. There is no proof he was drinking and driving. Maybe he went to the store and was on his way home wrecked and than after that happened he started drinking. Why did he leave the scene? He hit his head and was dazed and confused and forgot that he even wrecked.

    • Most likely though he is a several times repeat drunk driver that really doesn’t give a crap.

  2. If there is ONE thing that I noticed, Oakley/Brentwood?Discovery Bay are plagued with drunk drivers on the road. I do my best to avoid driving early morning and/or late night on those one lane roads. I am glad that no one was injured.

  3. He did not strike a HOME! He struck a HOUSE! There was damage to the HOUSE, not the HOME. The people who live i the HOUSE………. make it their HOME! Capisce?

  4. Tonight is a great night to drive around drunk, there are going to be a lot of targets.
