On Monday, Benicia Police announced the arrest of Riana Lane, 23, of Benicia after she turned herself in to the Benicia Police Department.
She was arrested for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and oral copulation with a minor.
The arrest occurred following an investigation of an incident at Benicia High School on April 7 that involved possession of marijuana on campus and stolen property. Benicia detectives later discovered that Lane was having an inappropriate relationship with the 17-year-old student, who was involved in the earlier incident.
Lane is a teacher at the high school.
