The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, San Pablo Police Department and Richmond Police Department recently conducted a court room sting at the Richmond courthouse. The operation targeted suspended drivers who were ordered by a judge not to drive. Those who did drive away were stopped by police. They were cited and their vehicles impounded.
Since the Avoid the 25 summer mobilization began on August 15, 2014, there have been 119 DUI arrests, 23 DUI related collisions and three injuries in Contra Costa County.
The mobilization runs through September 1, 2014.

This should be year round.. no reason to let the roads go lawless the rest of the year
I agree, they should have this set up on the street you drive on every single day.
After all, you seem to not mind being stopped for absolutely no suspicion.
Maybe we should just amend the 4th amendment to read:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, SHALL be violated…”
Meh, I like it better with the “not” where it belongs.
They have what you want in other countries, why not move there? Papers, present your papers, or you will be shot…
They should do this in Pittsburg too. Like fish in a barrel as Judge Judy would say.
