Today, the Antioch Police Department announced the arrest of a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old related to multiple purse snatching cases in both Antioch and Pittsburg.
According to Antioch Police, on July 27 at 10:06 pm Wal-Mart employees contacted the Antioch Police Department regarding two males inside the store. They explained that detectives were in the store looking for the males earlier in the day related to a string of purse snatching cases in both Antioch and Pittsburg in the last few weeks. The males were actively purchasing gift cards using the victim’s credit cards. When they saw officers approaching them they began to flee the store but were detained without incident.
The investigation led police to Koala Ct where we located a stolen vehicle used in several purse snatch cases over the last week. Detectives were called out and took over the investigation. Pittsburg PD was also informed and will be conducting a parallel investigation for their cases.
A 17 year old male and 20 year old male were arrested. We will not be releasing the names right now based on the on-going investigation.

Lock them up and throw away the key, but if it was up to me I would do worse. These little criminals will grow up to be repeated felons and thanks to the idiots in charge like Jerry Brown, they let them go with a slap on the wrist
Why don’t you release their ethnicity? What’s wrong with releasing demograhpic trends?
Because it is likely that these two individuals are of the so called “African (yah right) American” community. It is people like those two idiots that give the black community a bad name. If our Police department was to release their ethnicity, that would be discrimination. We can’t have that now. “We all make our own bed”. Section 8 housing has gotta stop! Those people need to get a job and contribute to society!!!
My purse was snatched up at the pittsburg Walmart && they tried using my debit card at the Antioch Walmart. I had my 1 year old daughter with me && I did try holding on to my purse && they did drag me along while they drove off. I believe these people are these same people that did this to me. Smh! They looked young.
