Update: Antioch Police Say Several “Persons of Interest” in Custody After Shooting Injures Two

by ECT

At around 11:20 am Monday, Antioch Police responded to a report of multiple gunshots in the area of E. 18th and Cavallo.

Passenger side window shot out striking female victim in the head

Shortly after the shots were fired, a vehicle pulled into the business of K2GC on E 18th and alerted the business that a female passenger had been shot in the head and requested help– later it would be confirmed she was shot in the temple.

Ken Turnage II, owner of K2GC, was inside the business when he heard the yelling and saw the vehicle in his parking lot with glass on the ground. He noted that originally they thought she was shot in the eye. He also explained that she appeared to be okay saying she was alert and talking to firefighters and paramedics. At least one another male was in the vehicle with her at the time of the shooting.

She was transported by AMR to a local hospital.

Authorities were then alerted to a second victim at Big O Tires at the corner of E 18th and Cavallo. The victim at that location suffered two gunshot wounds. One shot to arm and another to the belly.  The victim was also transported to a local hospital.

Nearly an hour later, police closed down Cavallo Road as SWAT surrounded a home. The area was cleared an the road re-opened. Police are still investigating the scene with at least 22-markers on the ground.

Early indications are that one of the two victims were an innocent bystander to the shooting.

I thought with a new mayor, everything would be rainbows and sunshine in Antioch? Where is the public outcry on this shooting like everyone else would do with Wade Harper?
