On Monday, an Antioch couple who had been dating for 2-years were engaged at Mikes Pastry Shop while looking at cakes.
According to Christina Brown, her future daughter in law thought they were going to get a birthday cake for her birthday.
The events unfolded after Isaac and Valerie were at a local Starbucks when Isaac was asked by his mom to go pick up a cake. He did not return to Starbucks so Valerie went looking for him. Her family then yelled “surprise” where she thought it was for her birthday.
Then she saw the cake which read “Valerie, will you marry me?”
Instead, she got a bigger surprise when she looked at the cake and saw “Valerie, will you marry me?”
She turned around to see Isaac on his knee with her ring as he proposed. She said yes.
