Activate With Senya: How I Reduce Stress to Ensure a Better Night Sleep

With everything going on in the world I can’t help but realize it is sometimes hard to shut my mind off and go to sleep. Sometimes, I am even waking up in the middle of the night.

The world is a stressful place—especially now! From the conflict in Russia and Ukraine, coming out of COVID, gas prices to inflation, there is a lot on my mind, and I am sure the minds of many others.

I wonder if many are sleep deprived as minds run wild in the wee hours of the night and into the morning.

Are you sleep deprived?  Some would say the only problem with sleep is that most of us may not be getting enough of it.  Do you agree?

For me, I realized I had a sleep problem last year. A solution that worked for me is I have been sleeping better ever since I started taking the little yellow activator.  Protandim NRF2 works by reducing oxidative stress by 40% in 30 days, and 70% in 90 days. Increases SuperOxide Dismutase(SOD) by 30%, Catalase by 54% & Glutathione by 300% neutralizes millions of free radicals, detoxifies genes regulates survival genes, supports body’s ability to repair and rejuvenate.

Why is sleep important?

Did you know that People who only get 5-6 hours of sleep a night are 4.2 times more likely to become sick than those who sleep for 7 hours. Likewise, those same people who sleep less than 7 hours are 33% more likely to suffer from obesity.

On the other side of the coin, people sleeping for 7-hours a night on average unlocked a wide range of health benefits. A study found that those who had REM “dream sleep” performed 32% better at puzzle-solving than those who had non-REM sleep. Plus, those with regular sleep schedules simply felt more rested during the day. It turns out that a good night’s sleep is actually pretty good for you.

Sleeping might be natural. But it’s not always easy.

Life happens: we’ve got morning deadlines to hit, early-riser kids, goals and ambitions, and plans. With so much life going on, it becomes easy to sacrifice the sleep that our bodies so desperately need because so many of the health benefits that sleep provides aren’t visible. Decide to biohack your sleep this year. And in the process put some peace, productivity, and happiness back into your life. Your body will thank you. We promise.

Insomnia is a very common and debilitating issue which affects up to 35% of adults. Sleep is critical for mental health, physical well-being, and overall productivity. It has many causes, including stress, irregular sleep schedules, poor sleeping habits, anxiety, depression, illness, and pain. Insomnia can be temporary or a chronic issue.

In my conversations with Dave’ Falguni, the community outreach director at HerbnJoy. I learned a lot about the benefits of Cannabis and how it has been used for millennia to treat a variety of issues. Some studies demonstrate cannabis can help with stress, anxiety, and depression. In one 2018 study, high doses of CBD were found to be effective in helping with depression, while high doses of CBD and THC together were found to be more effective with stress.

Many people have also used cannabis to treat pain. Studies have demonstrated it can be an effective analgesic and a safer alternative to opiates. Additionally, because opiates and cannabis utilize different mechanisms for reducing pain, they could be used together for a greater effect.

Walnut Creek High Society is a online community space we have started to bring together locals who are interested in learning about cannabis, it’s benefits, how to use it for wellness, where to shop etc etc.
