Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas

by ECT

As many of you are waking up to a rainy Christmas morning in Contra Costa County, others are in the snow and some even on a warm beach, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Merry Christmas. It is my hope you get to spend the day around family and friends.

Looking back on 2019, I can say without a doubt it has been a wild ride which I will get into more detail before New Year’s, but I cannot believe Christmas has already arrived because this year has gone by to fast.

Personally, I think we have gone on information overload with everything that has gone on this year from devastating fires to polarizing politics at all levels and its time for a break. It is a time for reflection. A time to just enjoy one another while counting our blessings.

The last few weeks has been a true gift to see so many beautiful decorated homes around East County, the amount of giving that has gone on in the community and people coming together to help others. We truly live in an amazing community.

For today, take the time to ensure you make today special. Create lifelong memories and truly decompress from the outside world. Remember, today does not have to be perfect, but it does need to be memorable.

Whatever your Christmas tradition is, make it a great one. Make it special.  There is too much noise in this world so be sure to put on some Christmas music, watch A Christmas Story, perhaps even some Mickey Mouse Christmas, but seek out some Christmas nostalgia with loved ones.

Finally, I just want to say thank you for all the support in reading East County Today this year, Without your support, this site would not be able to update as much as it does in our effort in trying to keep the community informed.

Stay safe and have a Merry Christmas.

Mike,

A great written article. Couldn’t agree with you more on the “Brain Break”.

I hope many that read this will agree that, what your articles give us about our community, are a way for this community to keep up to date. Thank you so much for your time and dedication to them.

Whis you had the resources to do a TBT column each week of each city “Back in the Days”.

Hope you, family and staff have a relaxed and Merry Christmas and a safe New Years.
