Antioch: 2 Injured After Elderly Driver Strikes 3 Vehicles in Parking Lot

by ECT

At 11:00 am Thursday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to the 2700 block of Lone Tree Way on a report of a vehicle crash in the Travis Union Credit parking lot in the City of Antioch.

It was reported that at least two people were injured and they suspected the driver of a DUI.

While on scene, firefighters reported the patients sustained minor injuries.

According to police, the elderly female driver was not suspected of a DUI, however, after striking a vehicle while intering the parking lot, the driver paniced and instead of hitting the break, hit the gas and accelerated through the parking lot striking a tree and jumped a curb before coming to rest after striking two vehicles in front of the Travis Credit Union.

Who wrote that? The spelling needs checking.

I hate that parking lot. A woman, wearing sunglasses and a hat which totally obscured her peripheral vision nearly hit my car as I was making a turn. This is the same strip mall where Sylvia’s is located and it’s pretty popular. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for someone to run into one of the stores But then, this one also hit a tree! What’s with all these trees being hit?

Yeah I agree with Julio. I guess they don’t have spell check anymore at the PD when they do “there” shift “hilites”.

Where does it say that the PD is the one who wrote what’s above?

We like to eat at Sylvia’s which is in the same area but are very careful because some of the people driving inside that parking lot are sloppy drivers.
