Contra Costa County Fire to Break Ground on New Lafayette Fire Station

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District announced that on Wednesday, April 11 at 4:00 pm they will break ground on Fire Station 16.

The station, which will be located at 4007 Los Arabis Road, aims to improve emergency response times in hilly, fire-vulnerable wild land and urban interface areas.

The event will feature a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction for the new Fire Station 16 in Lafayette. Elected officials from the County, and City of Lafayette, will make remarks and participate in a goldshovel event. ConFire officials will be available for comment immediately following the ceremony.

Expected speakers include:

  • Fire Chief Jeff Carman
  • County Board of Supervisors District II Supervisor Candace Andersen
  • City of Lafayette Mayor Don Tatzin

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is a recognized fire service leader providing fire and emergency medical services to a million people across a 304 square-mile area, in and around the nine cities of Contra Costa County, California.
