The following is a list of local Veterans Day events in East Contra Costa County:
City of Antioch (9:30 am)
Join the City of Antioch at the Marina (L Street & 2nd) starting at 9:30 am when a Huey Helicopter will be landing and The Antioch high school, Deer Valley high school and Liberty high school bands will be playing and veterans and dignitaries will be speaking on the community stage.
Following the ceremonies the parade will begin at the Veterans Memorial at the foot of L St. and proceed down 2nd Street to E St. promptly at 11:00 am with Huey Helicopter flyover!
City of Brentwood (10:30 am)
Join the City of Brentwood at Veterans Park (3841 Balfour Road) for a Veterans Day Ceremony that includes military music, speakers and four Civil War Cannons firing. The American Legion will be cooking burgers for guests.
City of Oakley (11:00 am)
Join the City of Oakley as they host their 4th Annual Veterans Day Observance Ceremony beginning at 11:00 am in downtown Oakley at Civic Center Park, 3231 Main Street. Oakley’s program will include the Presentation of Colors, student essays, rifle salute and taps.
This year’s program will also see the addition of live music performed by the Freedom High School marching band. Arrive early to the site of the Veterans Memorial for a pre‐program performance that will begin at 10:30 a.m.
City of Pittsburg (11:00 am)
The United Veterans Council & the City of Pittsburg, CA will hold its Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pittsburg Senior Center located at 300 Presidio Lane,
