At least one person was struck by gunfire at the Sun Valley Mall in the City of Concord Friday.
Concord Police responded to the shooting at 3:44 pm when one or two gunmen opened fire on the JC Penney side of the mall. The shooting left one person hit and they were transported to a local hospital–no update has been provided on the condition. A second victim was also injured, but its unknown if they were shot or sustained injuries while trying to get out of the mall. It is also unknown if anyone else was injured.
According to preliminary information, the suspect vehicle was described as a 2007 Grey Honda Accord out of the City of Antioch. The one suspect was described as a a black male, thin build ages 17-20. A second suspect was described as a black male/possibly Hispanic, age 17-20.
Concord Police have not said if anyone was yet in custody.

They need to change the name of that mall to Death Valley Mall. The real issue here is that Concord keeps luring in naive innocent unsuspecting Antioch youth and enticing them into criminality. SHAME!!!!
