by ECT

At approximately 10:15 pm Saturday, the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office responded to the Rusty Porthole on Bethel Island on a report of a male who was cutting people.

Located at 3895 Willow Road, a total of five sheriffs’ units were dispatched along with Oakley Police. A sheriff’s helicopter, STARR1, also responded. The responsible person was described as a 40-year-old Hispanic male.

While responding, the responsible male got into a vehicle and left the scene in an unknown direction–it was reported that the male struck someone/something while fleeing. Two people were reportedly injured with superficial wounds. This prompted a response from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

Upon arrival, sheriff deputies located three victims. One victim sustained 3 stab wounds—two on the back of the arms and another in the back area.

A short-time later, sheriff deputies were advised that a person was struck by the fleeing vehicle in the parking lot—possibly run-over. This person was identified as the fourth victim in the incident who sustained road rash and bruising to the back.

As of 1:30 pm Sunday, The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office has not yet released any information on the incident and its unclear if anyone is in custody or status of the victims.
