On June 4, 2018, the Walnut Creek Police Department arrested Brandon Genest at his residence on a warrant for two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child and three counts of Indecent Exposure.
The arrest occurred after an investigation into allegations that Genest, 27 of Walnut Creek, had the victims inappropriately touch him while he was employed as their babysitter. Genest is a high school teacher at Bentley School in Lafayette and is currently on administrative leave. During the investigation it was discovered that Genest has worked as a babysitter for numerous families in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
Genest has advertised his services on the following websites: Sittercity, Urban Sitter, Care, and numerous Facebook groups. At this time there are no other known victims.

Tell him I’ve got a baby sitting job for him, send him over for some ‘sensitivity’ training, he’ll be ‘sensitive’ for the rest of his life after the’training’ I have in mind for him.
