At 5:09 pm Sunday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of a shooting that occurred on Highway 242 near Solano Way in Concord.
According to radio traffic, the victims pulled up to Valero on Solano Way and requested help. Confire reported there were 2 victims.

FREEWAY SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
On Saturday, January 15, 2017, at approximately 5:06 PM, a freeway shooting occurred on southbound State Route 242, north of Solano Way, in Concord. There were two black male adult victims in a black Mercedes sedan. An unknown suspect vehicle fled the scene into the city of Concord.
CHP arrived on scene at the Valero gas station on Grant Avenue adjacent to State Route 242 and contacted the two victims. One victim had been shot; his injuries are non-life threatening.
