The San Ramon Police Department are seeking a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred today just after 1:03 pm.
Police say a subject entered the Safeway store located at 2505 San Ramon Valley Blvd. He walked directly to the US Bank counter and brandished a black, semi-automatic handgun along with a demand note. The note demanded money. The teller refused to give him money, at which point the suspect fled on foot and exited the store.
The suspect was described as a white male adult, 6’0″, mid 40’s, weighing 215-230 pounds. He was wearing a straw hat, a button down Hawaiian style shirt, dark pants and white shoes.

It’s pretty stupid to deny someone with a gun. The teller is lucky he or she didn’t get shot. Money is insured, and can be replaced. Lives can’t.
Is it just me or does the San Ramon robbery suspect look exactly like the Danville robbery suspect?

In today’s America, maybe all banks should post permanent security guards. We often see a temporary guard posted right after a bank is robbed, but soon they are gone. The Danville Costco was robbed months ago and still has a guard.
Call the CIA, I hear they have some awesome facial recognition these days.
