Four Arrests Made in Contra Costa Sex Offender Operation

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff conducted a multi-agency compliance operation on May 11, 2017. The operation targeted registered sex offenders living in East Contra Costa County.

The goal of the operation was to arrest out-of-compliance registrants and contact high-risk registrants and those on probation or parole.

Participating law enforcement agencies were the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Contra Costa County Probation Department, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Oakley Police Department, Pittsburg Police Department, and Antioch Police Department.

During the operation, 41 locations where registered sex offenders reside were checked and four individuals were arrested.

The names of the arrested were not released.
