On October 15, just after midnight, Brentwood Police officers responded to a report of a physical fight involving multiple subjects at La Fuente Restaurant located at 642 1st Street.
According to Walter O’Grodnick, Police Lieutenant, when the first set of officers arrived they observed the fight was still active and requested additional officers respond. One subject was physically assaulted by another patron during the fight and that patron was subsequently arrested.
O’Grodnick also stated that while officers were investigating the fight, an unknown person fired multiple shots from an area east of La Fuente. Officers searched the immediate area but did not locate any victims or shell casings.
“No officers were injured during the incident and we don’t believe the shots were directed at our officers,” said O’Grodnick.
No additional details were released.

Melanie, I apologize if I offended you. I am just so sick and tired of what our society has become and there is no end in sight. When I read this, I just went off. La Fuente is a favorite spot of mine and I just hate this happening, there or anywhere. Have a good day and be safe.
You didn’t offend me. We all lose it. I’ve never been to La Fuente, but I’m sure it’s a nice place. Enjoy!
