Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested at N. Concord BART Station

An attempted murder suspect from Antioch was arrested at the N. Concord BART on Monday morning, according to the Concord Police Department.

Around 11:20am, officers were dispatched to the N. Concord BART Station in regards to a possible vehicle burglary.

A citizen called Concord Police to report that the male, later identified by police as Antioch resident Dean Serva, was pushing in the window of a Ford Mustang, according to Concord Police Corporal Christopher Blakely.

Prior to the arrival of officers from the Concord Police, BART Police were able to detain Serva, Cpl. Blakely said.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle belonged to Serva’s uncle and he did have permission to be in possession of the vehicle, however, a warrants check revealed Serva had an outstanding ramey warrant for his arrest out of Antioch for attempted homicide, conspiracy and willful discharge of a firearm, Cpl. Blakely said.

Serva was booked at the Concord Police Department and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
