Antioch: 2,500 Without Power After Report of Transformer Fire

At 1:17 pm, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a transofrmer fire in the area of Cavallo and Wilbur.

The incident, reportedly knocked out power to 2,500 customers with PG&E expected to be on scene by 1:30 pm. Contra Costa firefighters responded to the area but could not locate any fire on a transformer.

By 1:40 pm, Engine 81 reported a large power outage in the area.

No update on when the power will be restored.

By 3:00 pm, 887 customers were without power.
