Beaudin was recalled because he simply failed to do his job. Has nothing to do with the defeat of “wokeism”, “progressivism” … He was and IS an idiot, who chose NOT to do the job he was elected to do properly …. Prosecute perpetrators of crime.
San Francisco has a very small group of Republican voters, 85% voted Democrat in the last election, and it was those same Democrats that recalled his dumb ass. Again, for not doing the job he was elected to do — Prosecute criminals.
His recall has nothing to do with the “defeat of wokeness” or “defeat of progressive policies”. If he would have instilled some progressive policies, and still prosecuted jerks who commit crimes, he would have never gotten recalled.
I will say it again, he was recalled because he did NOT do the job he was elected to do, which is why the same reason the three idiots from the San Francisco School Board were recalled and removed earlier this year. Again, this was in a city that many think is the epitome of “being woke” — think again people.
He ran on, and was elected on his promises not to prosecute certain crimes and more leanient actions when someone was arrested or detained.
He did the job the way he said he would.
There is nothing written in stone as to the DA’s decisions.
If the actions were mandatory, then there really would be a point to electing a DA.
If anybody was inept it was the voters.
I’m not sure I like or understand the term “woke”, but I certainly believe the policies he enacted, and the priorities of the school board – were not conservative or traditional by any means. They all made conscious decisions to do things and not others.
If they are not conservative there has to be a term for that
You can Google Chesa’s campaign promises FYI
He said he was going to do more diversion and less prosecution and eliminate cash bail among other things
Just go read it for yourself.
Maybe there’s some place where he describes his political beliefs or affiliations
