Wade Harper Announces Endorsement of Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council

Antioch, CA – On Friday, October 22, 2016 the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council President Greg Feere announced the endorsement of Mayor Wade Harper for re-election as mayor of the City of Antioch.

Mayor Harper has a strong support base as he received over 40% of the votes (12,594 votes), according to Contra Costa County election results for the 2012 elections.  Mayor Harper has strong support from the hardworking men and women of Antioch and Contra Costa County as he has demonstrated his commitment to fair labor practices. The Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council represents thirty trade unions with over 30,000 Building Trades men and women.  Under Mayor Harper’s leadership he eliminated 5 ½ years of employee work furloughs, returning the city of Antioch to a full-service city again.  Mayor Harper is the right choice for mayor of the city of Antioch.

“I am happy to add the endorsement of the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council to my list of endorsements.”  Mayor Harper has also been endorsed by the Contra Costa AFL-CIO Labor Council, the Contra Costa Democratic Party, the California State Democratic Party, and as Chair of the Contra Costa County Conference of Mayors he has been endorsed by several mayors and city council members as well as the Honorable Congressman Mark DeSaulnier.

“I was at a meeting at Starbucks and several off-duty police officers advised me to make sure I let the community know that I am the only mayoral candidate who has the endorsement of the Antioch Police Officers Association,” says Mayor Harper.  “As a 24-year veteran police officer (now retired) I am also honored to have the endorsement of Antioch’s finest, our men and women in blue.”

Seriously?? Wade Harper takes credit for eliminating furloughs? Antioch, a full service city? WTF???? LMAO!!

It’s easy to figure out why they would endorse him… just follow the money.
