Vasco Vegetation Fire Contained to 13-Acres, Roadway Shut Down

At 9:11 am Sunday, a full vegetation fire response was requested after a fire was reported on Vasco Road about a mile north of the county line.

Units from the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District (E52, 59, 94) responded along with units from Alameda County Fire, and CALFIRE who immediately worked to contain the fire to 13-acres.

The roadway was shutdown in both directions as crews worked.

According to Battalion Chief 5, he is estimating the roadway to be re-opened by 11:15 am.
