Well its sad another soul is lost to satan, but hell is where the unsaved go! I pray for comfort for his friends and family and maybe a lesson learned!

Robert Taylor Aug 28, 2013 - 12:31 pm

Expect Sharpton and Jackson to chime in anytime and proclaim his innocence!

Christine Taylor Aug 28, 2013 - 1:16 pm

That’s exactly what I was thinking!

Jay Aug 28, 2013 - 12:33 pm

One less bad guy to kill innocent people! Good job Antioch PD!!

Briel Aug 28, 2013 - 12:53 pm

he wasn’t a bad guy at all so ignorant

Bobbi Aug 28, 2013 - 3:58 pm

Bad guys wave guns around to scare people, bad guys don’t pull over when when the cops start their sirens, bad guys crash into innocent people they don’t know with their cars and don’t stop to exchange insurance info, bad guys hit police cars and loose control of their vehicles, bad guys run from the police, bad guys point a gun at officers that try to keep our cities safe… oh yeah and bad guys make situations happen where car loads of kids have bullets flying threw there car and steal their innocence and haunt children’s nightmares! …. SO, if it walks like a duck? He’s a bad guy. His face will forever be the “bad guy” for the 25 or more victims of his choices yesterday.
Webster’s dictionary defines “ignorant” as ~ lacking knowledge or awareness in general. I think we are pretty knowledgeable and aware of what a Bad Guy is. I think you know too if you let yourself admit it.
Eitherway, prayers to his family and all the victims of yesterdays events..

You f*cling ppl need a life it doesn’t matter how you feel about him keep your ignorent comments to your self. He still was a human and didn’t deserve to get killed. He has family and friends who are going to miss him dearly.

Rich Aug 29, 2013 - 9:49 am

@Nesh Your an idiot! Who cares about his family, if they actually knew what he was involved in they should have known something like this was coming. Pointing a gun at police officers isn’t going to end nicely. He showed no care for anyone during his run, why should we show any for him. He deserved to die, before he hurt someone innocent.

Glen Aug 29, 2013 - 8:01 pm

He should have pulled over and complied, but no, he had to run and endanger lives. Does not matter if he’s part of a family. He obviously didn’t give a Sh@$ and APD did a great Job!

nesh Aug 29, 2013 - 9:10 pm

Go f*ck your self already

jerry Aug 28, 2013 - 4:43 pm

ON THE CONTRARY!!!

Kadee Aug 28, 2013 - 7:27 pm

Well he certainly made some bad choices yesterday !

jerry Aug 28, 2013 - 4:45 pm

ON THE CONTRAY!!!! bRIEL

nancy Aug 28, 2013 - 12:43 pm

Should be suspect…not victim in title. Too bad though. If he had only just dropped the gun he would have been alive today.

Rob Aug 28, 2013 - 12:51 pm

What was he doing in Antioch? From Vallejo, prior arrest in Napa.
Maybe we should start putting out markers along roads stating where all the thugs were taken down. Might make them think about coming here.

Alan Newell Aug 28, 2013 - 1:33 pm

This is chilling. I hope we learn more.

jerry Aug 28, 2013 - 4:46 pm

Nesh can u elaborate? what part of the story made him not a bad guy?

nesh Aug 28, 2013 - 3:04 pm

Ppl shouldnt down talk ppl they dont know. He was a friend to me and he was not a bad guy at all.

Jay Aug 28, 2013 - 4:17 pm

If he wasn’t a bad guy, then why did he have a gun…and why did he point it at the police? That is not something that normal, law-abiding, sane people do. If someone pointed a gun at you, you’d shoot back too.

He also led police on a dangerous, high speed chase, endangering everyone else on the road that day. Antioch PD did what they had to do to protect themselves and the public.

Contra Costa Open Carry Aug 28, 2013 - 4:49 pm

nesh,
If not a “bad guy” as you put it, what would you consider a bad guy? A felon with a gun, running from and shooting at police = bad guy.

Keep the trash of the Streets of Antioch Aug 28, 2013 - 7:07 pm

You have a distorted idea of good & bad. The whole thug culture of taking everything for free is one of the most despicable cultures I have ever witnessed. Atleast the mafia had sense of enough to do their hits on the right ppl. The hip/hop thug n thuggets have no care for anyone including theirselves. You are a pack of worthless humans. It reminds me of the movie Escape from New York, except good hard working ppl have to live with your so called friend you say was good. Why don’t you get your head straight. That feel sorry for those type of ppl are just enabling them to be closer to death everyday. you can only blame you and the rest of the enablers that are seeing good so called people like him die everyday. He got what he deserved. I feel for the cops that have deal with shooting him in his negligent doing good actions. Get some help and do something positive for your community.

Bobbi Aug 28, 2013 - 3:59 pm

Ian Aug 28, 2013 - 5:07 pm

F–y’all this was my friend. He ran but did not point a weapon. His left hand doesn’t work so how could he even cock a gun let alone hold one. This was someone’s son. I bet y’all wouldn’t be sayin this shit if it was you son brother father . Smh

Larry Aug 28, 2013 - 6:12 pm

Ian he endangered innocent people in our town. We dont want or need people like that. Now your friend resembles swiss cheese. He had and pointed a gun. He wont be around to try that again.

mthawk Aug 28, 2013 - 7:12 pm

It is very sad he lost his life no doubt. Sad that he chose to go down a path in his life that led him to do what he did in those moments that lead to his death but how innocent can he be? How can u say he is a “good” guy when he ran from police, waved a gun to people driving by, drove the wrong direction endangering innocent people on the rode including children and crashed into oncoming cars and police…. im sorry you lost the life of your friend and im sorry his family has to grieve their loss as well but nothing is innocent about the actions he chose to do that day.

Give me a break! Aug 28, 2013 - 7:15 pm

Always the story. What did he need a gun for? I don’t need a gun to drive around town. Maybe I should carry one with this kind good ppl loose in Antioch. Give us a break. We all watched Antioch go down soon as Section 8 started handing out vouchers like candy to trick or treaters. You don’t fool any of the real good long time citizens of East Contra Costa? We are all watching and reporting.

Sue Ferrara Aug 28, 2013 - 7:22 pm

He must of been righthanded

Antioch Resident Aug 28, 2013 - 6:46 pm

@Ian: Maybe he was concealing it for someone else like he did in 2010……. Either way. He shouldn’t have run from the cops, shouldn’t have pulled out a firearm. Shouldn’t have acted like he was above the law. Sorry for your loss but maybe you should think about selecting new friends.

Jim Aug 28, 2013 - 8:41 pm

VICTIM? Seriously???

I would rewrite your headline to “Dumb Person Is Shot After Being Dumb – He’s Dead Now”

When you drive 80+ MPH the WRONG way on a street while waving a gun, and then crash, and then are STUPID enough to then POINT the gun at POLICE, well, then you’re not a VICTIM. You’re an IDIOT.

Cops$on/Copkiller Aug 29, 2013 - 5:02 am

GrammarIsntThatHard Aug 29, 2013 - 8:18 pm

Well, tell your dad to make sure your butt stays in school. You need to repeat the 4th grade with those writing skills.

nesh Aug 29, 2013 - 1:45 pm

First off dumb ass I never been and idiot. For two I’m an Antioch residence so I know of all the bullshyt that goes on out their and like I said he deserve to die like that but since y’all wanna take up for the police wont y’all tell them muthafuckas to do they job on muthafuckas killing eachother in are town instead of killing ppl. Dick heads.

nesh Aug 29, 2013 - 5:39 pm

* I meant didn’t deserve to die like that

Jim Aug 29, 2013 - 7:33 pm

You write like a 3rd grader. Seriously, why can’t anyone write anymore? It’s pathetic, disheartening and shameful. UGH.

nesh Aug 29, 2013 - 7:40 pm

Never do I write like a 3rd grade ass hole. But for you I can tell that your ignorance is going to piss me off so please don’t comment back to anything I say. Thank you

GrammarIsntThatHard Aug 29, 2013 - 8:16 pm

Good Grief! The grammar and punctuation (or lack of) is making my head hurt! Learn to write a comprehensible comment, maybe we would take you more seriously.

Lori Aug 29, 2013 - 10:59 pm

Maybe if you and your friends stayed in school, you might be able to find good jobs and not have to be criminals! It is making me laugh at all of the spelling and grammar errors!

Spelling Nazi's be gone Aug 30, 2013 - 10:10 am

You are just as screwed up as the thugs. Really, spelling is the issue. I have an 8th grade education and worked since I was old enough to have a job. I have two kids in universities on my dime. Spelling doesn’t make a person good or bad you ding bat.

nesh Aug 30, 2013 - 1:29 pm

Thank you. But I don’t have time to waste on none factor people. I’m very educated never been stupid just cause I choose not to use proper franker right now dose not mean I’m dumb.

[email protected] Aug 30, 2013 - 1:33 am

look he is dead I fill bad for his fam and friends not him so that’s all im going to say

Katherine Allison Aug 30, 2013 - 7:17 am

to those of you commenting on all the errors in grammar and spelling,in stead of ripping into the ones who cant spell look to the teachers who let them get through there (probably spelled wrong)school years and graduate knowing they still couldnt read or write.

Katherine Allison Aug 30, 2013 - 7:19 am

thats assuming that any of them even went to school.
